SOME IMPORTANT DISEASES ON RUBBER TREE (Nov 25, 2013)

( 1 ) the leaves wilt black (  Anthracnose )
+ Fungal agents : Colletotrichum gloeosporioides ( Penz. ) Sacc .
+ Distribution: Throughout the rubber areas , common disease and cause significant damage during the rainy season .
+ Harm : Pathogens harmful to young parts of the plant such as leaves and shoots ,
can lead to severe dry leaves , loss , death and dying flame shoots .
+ Symptoms: Disease causing premature defoliation under two weeks old ,
the old leaves fall not distorted leaf surface roughness . Disease causing dry tops, dry stems in part or whole tree dies .
+ Preventing : Using one of the active drug substance characteristics of anthracnose :
( 1 ) as the active ingredient Carbendazim Carbenzim 500FL , dng dose 3 % or ( 2 )
as the active ingredient Saizole 5SC Hexaconazole spray dosage 2-3 % L / ha or ( 3 ) SC 350 Saipora (mixed carbendazim 300 g / L v 50 g / L ) dng dose of 0.2 to 0.5 % .
Note: need to spray when the disease early detection , focused spray spray on young foliage , spray cycles 7-10 days / times , especially after heavy rains .

( 2 ) rainy season leaf blight and fruit rot
+ Agent : Chee botryosa Phytophthora palmivora and Phytophthora ( Bult. ) Bult .
+ Distribution: disease occurs during the rainy season , the level of damage varies depending on regions and varieties .
+ Impact : As the name implies , disease and old deciduous fruit rot .
+ Symptoms: Typical symptoms of the disease on petioles may lose one or more local white latex .
Rubber is left to rot infection . Mushrooms also kill newly planted and landscaped transplant seedling death in the garden , nursery .
Diseases also spread down the razor , so when trees fall sick leaves 50 % to reduce the pace to stay shaved shaving or during heavy defoliation .
+ Preventing : Where young rubber plantation sick, drug use ( 1 ) as the active ingredient Mexyl Metataxyl MZ 72WP ,

( 3 ) Herringbone Spot Disease ( Corynespora leaf spot )
+ Agent : Fungal Corynespora cassiicola ( Berk. & Curt . ) Wei .
+ Distribution: Disease occurs throughout the year and at all stages of growth of rubber trees ,
causing significant damage to the rubber-like hypersensitivity .
+ Symptoms appear on leaves , petioles and shoots with various symptoms :
• On Foliar symptoms with lesions characteristic black herringbone shape along the leaf veins .
Lethal lesions partially spread leaves , then the whole orange leaves change and fall by a leaflet .

• On shoots and petioles : cracks along the stem and bud -shaped diamond, oozing pus then turns black ,
lesions can develop lethal to 20 cm long shoots , the plant dies . On wood with black stripes , running along the lesion .
+ Room Treatment: Preventive soon as new diseases emerge, note carefully spray the undersides of the leaves ,
the period 7-10 days once sprayed . For prevention and treatment need special medications with active ingredients such Hexaconazole Saizole 5SC ,
recommended dose : 1.0 L / ha or substance Carbendazim as Carbenzim 500FL ,
the recommended dose of 0.5 L / ha or Saipora 350SC (mixed Carbendazim 300 g / L + Hexaconazole 50 g / L ) , dng dose of 0.2 - 0,5% .

 ( 4 ) pink fungal disease ( Pink disease )
+ Agent : Fungal Corticium salmonicolor Berk . & Br .
+ Distribution: Southeast serious disease ; disease usually occurs during the rainy season .
+ Harm : Disease is common and important in the rubber 4-8 years of age ,
the lesions usually appear on the trunk and branches have turned brown shells .
+ Symptoms: The disease usually occurs during the rainy season , on the body (usually where the fork ) and the stems are shells of brown .
The initial lesions and pus filaments white spider , while severe fungal turn pink . When dead twigs , dry leaves do not fall , below the lesions grow more shoots .
+ Room Treatment: For early detection to treatment promptly . Use one of the medicines with active ingredients such special treatment :
( 1 ) active Validamycine as Vanicide 5SL , recommended dose : 3-5 L / ha or substance ( 2 ) Hexaconazole as Saizole 5SC ,
recommended dose : 1L / ha or Saipora 350SC ( as above ) drugs in need blended with adhesives , aerosol spray with a hose,
shoulder extension , the period 1-2 weeks once spray until completely stopped . Stop shaving dead trees and tree canopy sick. In the dry season ,
conducted sawing trees , dead branches and provide lots of cover to fire .
