Annually exporting  demand of cashew is  very large, but the response of production is very limited,
due to production that is affected by many factors, including pest is one of the main factors.
Anthracnose is a common disease  on  cashew trees. There were several years with  appropriate weather conditions,
the disease drastically developed,  caused  severely impact on productivity and quality conditions.
Causative  symptoms:
Disease usually arises and causes severe damage on young parts such as leaves, twigs and flower budding-to-fruiting stages
 . On leaves, early lesions are dark brown spots, between the  parts  of diseased leaf  and non-diseased one  with yellow halo.
Young twigs get infected having a dark  brown bark , slightly indented lesions and  shrunken and withered twigs.
Buds and fruits diseased    are dark brown and fallen   .
Causative agent and conditions arising development: The disease is caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides.
The disease arises and develops in conditions of high humidity, with much fog. In particular,
disease often  vigorously develops  in young flower budding-to fruiting stages , with  the  favorable weather conditions .
The garden of cashew trees of which  has a  little care, or improper care, such as unbalanced fertilization and excessive nitrogen ,
no pruning infertile branches resulted in   dense  canopy , increase in humidity  of the garden and lack of sunshine , the disease is  often severe.
Garden of cashew trees that has a high density of mosquito bugs also found the higher incidence of anthracnose,
or garden  is  not prreventively timely sprayed  at crucial moments of trees ,  disease also develops ,  causes severer damage  to  cashew productivity .
Some of preventive measures are highly effective and reduce costs:
- Prior to jumping into the new season , garden sanitation should  be done , totally weeding ,
pruning off  diseased and infertile branches for clear canopy  aim to  limit high humidity and sunlight going through it easily.
Proper pruning also makes preventive  spray  against  pests  favorably.
- Full and balanced fertilization  and avoid excessive nitrogen fertilization  .Enhancing some micronutrients for plants  by foliar spray  with  foliar  fertilizer :
POLYDEED 15-15-30 on stage before peeping buds, to help enhance  resistance to disease, enhance  division  of  flower buds ,
in order to have  more flower buds , as a condition for increasing productivity and quality.
- Preventing  mosquito bugs fully well  at young  budding stage by GOLDEN DRAGON  585EC,
evenly soaking wet canopy  aim  to limit sucking bugs that created mechanical  injuries  on  the young parts of tree, make a transmission of infection.
 - when plant  is at  peeping  young  bud and  young flower budding- to-fruiting stages , if it is in  the conditions of high humidity ,  
 must be preventively  timely sprayed  with  Carbenzim 500FL, at diluting dose  :  200ml of product / 100 liters of water to spray  canopy soaking wet  evenly .
- In the  stages of  young flower budding-to-fruiting  stages   , if  incipient disease is early detected , it is necessary to spray 2 times 7-10 days apart.
